Zara is a great brand for all sorts of fashion goods shopping in the world. It has been present in Hungary for more than 15 years and has been successfully expanding. Is Zara cheaper in Hungary ? Are Zara clothes cheaper in Budapest compared to USA? What is the price difference between ZARA pricing in Hungary and USA. We did a detailed research and found that even during normal times,the prices of same goods are cheaper in Hungary compared to USA.
We performed a test by opening the ZARA USA and ZARA Hungary website simultaneously and tried to find similar products in both versions of websites,and found that ZARA prices in Hungary was cheaper by 7 to 10 percent compared to prices in USA.
Take an example below,where we compare a men shorts,which was priced at 50 USD on American website,while on a Hungarian store, the price was 12000. According to today’s rate, the 12000 Huf = 35 USD, which means same shorts was 15 USD cheaper in Hungary.
Similarly, we compared the prices of some other items on Zara stores for USA and Hungary, and found Zara Hungary to be far cheaper than USA.
Take example of a blazer which was priced at 30000 Huf (approx 86 USD) was priced at 129 USD in ZARA USA website. i.e. a difference of 43 USD.
Similarly the waistcoat priced at 15000 HUF (43 USD as per current exchange rate) on ZARA Hungary website was priced at 60 USD. i.e. a difference of 17 USD.
A slim fit pant was priced at 12000 HUF (35 USD) at Hungarian Zara website,while same was 50 USD on Zara USA website.i.e. a difference of 15 USD.
To summarize the findings, Zara Hungary prices were considerably lower for the same products if compared to the same products online store in USA.
Therefore, if you are a Zara fan, its best to get the advantage of lesser prices in Budapest on your next trip.
